Hi everyone! Today’s pattern is inspired by one of the most iconic Star Wars ships of all time (excepting the Millennium Falcon, of course) : a TIE Fighter! This pattern took a bit of experimenting to make because crochet hexagons can sometimes be a bit tricky, but don’t worry; this pattern is simple, easy to follow, and requires very little sewing.

Materials:
- Grey worsted (4) weight yarn
- Black worsted (4) weight yarn
- A small amount of red yarn (optional_
- 3.00 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle
- Stuffing
Terms Needed: Sc = single crochet, Sc2tog = single crochet 2 together, ss = slip stitch, ch = chain, st = stitch, mc = magic circle, DC = double crochet
For the TIE Fighter Pod:
Start with black yarn.
Row 1: Sc 6 in mc. Ss. (6 sts)
Row 2: Change to grey yarn. Ss in each st around. Ss to first st. (6 sts)
Row 3: Change to black yarn. Sc 2 in the back loop of each st around. Ss. (12 sts)
Row 4: Change to grey yarn. (Sc 2 in st, sc in next st) repeat to the end of row. Ss to first st. (18 sts)
Rows 5-7: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (18 sts)
Row 8: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc in next st) repeat to the end of row. Ss . (12 sts)
Stuff work.
Row 9: Ch 1. Sc2tog around. Ss. (6 sts)
Bind off. Sew hole closed. Using leftover grey yarn, add 8 lines to the black part of the pod (use picture for reference). Optional: add 2 small stitches to the bottom of the black part using red yarn.
TIE Fighter Side Connectors (make 2):
Start with grey yarn.
Row 1: Sc 4 in mc. Ss to first st. (4 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (4 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1. (Sc 2 in st, sc in next st) repeat to end of row. Ss. (6 sts)
Row 4: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (6 sts)
Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing.
TIE Fighter Wings (make 2):
Start with grey yarn.
Row 1: DC 6 in mc. Ss to first st. (6 sts)
Row 2: Change to black yarn. Ch 2. (Dc 2 in st, ch 2) repeat in each st to end of row. Ss to first st. You should have 6 holes created by the groups of 2chs (the first ch2 does not count). (12 sts + 12 chs)
Row 3: Ch 2. (Dc in next 2 sts. In space created by the ch2, dc, ch 2, dc) repeat this pattern to the end of the row. Ss. (24 sts + 12 chs)
Row 4: Change to grey yarn. Ch 1. Sc in next 3 sts. In the ch2 space, sc, ch 2, sc. (Sc in next 4 sts. In the ch2 space, sc, ch 2, sc.) repeat to the end of the row. Ss to first st of row.
Bind off. Using grey yarn, add 6 lines to the wings (use photos for reference).
For Assembly: Sew the side connectors to either side of the pod. Sew the grey center part of each wing to a side connector. Weave in all ends.
