“The Office” Mug Crochet Pattern

Happy Saturday! Today I am sharing a “The Office” Mug Crochet Pattern with you! Specifically, this is Michael’s “World’s Best Boss” mug that appears in several episodes of the show. This pattern is quick and easy, and is a perfect gift for fans of “The Office”.

Without further ado, here is the pattern!

“The Office” Mug Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • White worsted (4) weight yarn
  • Black worsted (4) weight yarn (a small amount)
  • 4.00 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle

Terms Needed: Sc = single crochet, Sc2tog = single crochet 2 together, ss = slip stitch, ch = chain, st = stitch, mc = magic circle

Bottom of mug:

Start with white yarn.

Row 1: Sc 6 in mc. Ss. (6 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc 2 in each st around. Ss. (12 sts)

Row 3: Ch 1. (Sc 2 in st, sc) repeat around. Ss. (18 sts)

Row 4: Ch 1. (Sc 2 in st, sc 2) repeat around. Ss. (24 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Sides of mug:

Start with white yarn.

Row 1: Ch 25, turn. Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. (24 sts)

Rows 2-9: Ch 1, turn, sc across. (24 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Mug Handle:

Row 1: Sc 2 in mc. Ss. (2 sts)

Rows 2-6: Ch 1. Sc around. Ss. (2 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing.

For assembly:

Use black yarn to add words to mug side piece.

Using white yarn, sew mug side piece into a cylinder, then sew the bottom piece to the bottom of the cylinder. Sew mug handle to mug. Weave in all ends.
