Happy Saturday everyone! Today I’m back with another holiday pattern: A Polar Express Bell Crochet Pattern! The Polar Express is one of my all time favourite holiday movies. I love that it has action, and mystery (which are hard to find in Christmas movies) and I especially love the scene with the dancing and the hot chocolate. Of course, the bell is one of the most iconic and recognizable objects from the movie, so I just had to create my very own!
Also, this pattern is super short and sweet, so it would make a great last-minute gift or Christmas ornament.

Polar Express Bell Crochet Pattern
- Light Grey worsted (4) weight yarn
- Dark Grey worsted (4) weight yarn
- Red worsted (4) weight yarn (you could also use brown yarn if you want to be more true to the movie)
- 4.00 mm crochet hook
- Yarn needle

Terms Needed: Sc = single crochet, Sc2tog = single crochet 2 together, ss = slip stitch, ch = chain, st = stitch, mc = magic circle,
For Polar Express Bell:
Start with light grey yarn.
Row 1: Sc 6 in mc. Ss to first st. (6 sts)
Row 2: Ch 1. Sc 2 in each st around. Ss. (12 sts)
Row 3: Ch 1. (Sc 2 in st, sc) repeat to end of row. Ss. (18 sts)
Rows 4-6: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (18 sts)
Row 7: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc) repeat to end of row. Ss. (12 sts)
Row 8: Ch 1. Sc2tog around. Ss. (6 sts)
Row 9: Ch 1. Sc2tog around. Ss. (3 sts)
Ch 3, and ss to st across row (to create a small loop).
Bind off. Locate the central row (around row 5) and reattach yarn. Ch 1, and Sc around the circumference of the piece to create a ridge (should be about 18 sts). Ss to first st. Bind off, and weave in ends. Using dark grey yarn, add cross detail to top of bell. Weave in ends.
Polar Express Ribbon:
Start with red (or brown if you so choose) yarn.
Row 1: Ch 23. Turn, and sc in 2nd st and each across. (22 sts)
Bind off, weave in ends. Thread ribbon through small loop on bell and tie.
