Happy Thursday! I’ve already shared a very adorable Red Baron Snoopy Crochet Pattern with you, so of course I absolutely have to share the perfect Charlie Brown Crochet Pattern to go with it! Nothing says Christmas like Charlie Brown and Snoopy, so these are the perfect patterns to make for the holiday season.

Charlie Brown Crochet Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Natural worsted (4) weight yarn
  • Dark Brown worsted (4) weight yarn
  • Light Yellow worsted (4) weight yarn
  • Dark Brown Felt
  • Brown Thread
  • Black Thread
  • Sewing Needle
  • 4.00 mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Stuffing
  • 2 Safety Eyes

Terms Needed: Sc = single crochet, Sc2tog = single crochet 2 together, ss = slip stitch, ch = chain, st = stitch, mc = magic circle,

Charlie Brown Head:

Start with natural yarn.

Row 1: Ch 1. Sc 6 in mc. Ss. (6 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc 2 in each st around. Ss. (12 sts)

Row 3: Ch 1. (Sc 2 in each st around, sc) repeat around. Ss. (18 sts)

Row 4: Ch 1. (Sc 2 in each st around, sc 2) repeat around. Ss. (24 sts)

Rows 5-7: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (24 sts)

Row 8: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc 2) repeat around. Ss. (18 sts)

Row 9: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc) repeat around. Ss. (12 sts)

Stuff work and add safety eyes.

Row 10: Ch 1. Sc2tog around. Ss. (6 sts)

Bind off, leaving a long tail for sewing. Using black thread, add eyebrows, hair and mouth.

Charlie Brown Nose:

Start with natural yarn.

Row 1: Sc 3 in mc. Ss. (3 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew nose in between safety eyes.

Charlie Brown Ears (make 2):

Start with natural yarn.

Row 1: Sc 2 in mc. Do not join. (2 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew ears to sides of head. They should be slightly below being in line with the nose.

Charlie Brown Legs + Body:

Start with dark brown yarn.

Row 1: Sc 6 in mc. Ss to first st. (6 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (6 sts)

Row 3: Change to light yellow yarn. In front loops of sts, Ch 1, and sc in each st around. Ss. (6 sts)

Row 4: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (6 sts)

Bind off. Repeat rows 1-4 to create a 2nd piece. Do not bind off.

Row 5: Change to dark brown yarn. Ch 1. In back loops of sts, (Sc 2 in st, sc 2), switch to 2nd piece and repeat 2 times, switch back to first piece and repeat once, ss to first st of row. (16 sts)

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (16 sts)

Row 7: Change to light yellow yarn. Ch 1. In back loops of sts, sc in each st around. Ss. (16 sts)

Row 8: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc 6) repeat to end of row. Ss. (14 sts)

Row 9: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (14 sts)

Row 10: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc 5) repeat to end of row. Ss. (12 sts)

Row 11: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (12 sts)

Row 12: Ch 1. (Sc2tog, sc 4) repeat around. Ss. (10 sts)

Row 13: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. Ss. (10 sts)

Stuff work.

Row 14: Ch 1. Sc2tog around. Ss. (5 sts)

Bind off. Using brown felt, cut out zigzag pattern and sew to shirt.

Charlie Brown Collar:

Start with light yellow yarn.

Row 1: Ch 13, turn. Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. (12 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing. Sew to top part of body.

Charlie Brown Arms (make 2):

Row 1: Ch 1. Sc 6 in mc. Ss. (6 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1. Sc in each st around. (6 sts)

Rows 3-4: Change to light yellow yarn. Ch 1. Sc in each st around. (6 sts)

Row 5: Ch 1. Sc2tog, sc around. Ss. (5 sts)

Row 6: Ch 1. Sc2tog, sc around. Ss. (4 sts)

Bind off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Sew arms to sides of body. Sew head to top of body, on top of collar. Weave in all ends.
